The Makers Circle
For as long as people have existed, we’ve gathered around tables, fires, and kitchen counters to make things with our hands. Crafting has always been a way to mark the seasons, to tell stories, and to feel connected—to ourselves and to our communities. Modern research now confirms what makers have known for generations: creating with our hands slows the nervous system, reduces stress hormones, and supports emotional regulation by engaging the parts of the brain linked to focus, sensory processing, and calm. In The Makers Circle, we return to this simple, human tradition—gathering, creating, and letting the act of making become a soft space for reflection, grounding, and gentle growth.
Each session includes a guided creative activity, space for reflection, and takeaway skills and practices you can use in daily life. All materials are provided by Sydney, a registered therapist and artist.
No previous crafting experience needed.

Our virtual webinar is titled: The Invisible Injury: Managing Headaches, Sleep, & Mental Health Symptoms after a Concussion. Dr. Roger Zemek, Dr. Rébecca Robillard, and Dr. Noah Silverberg will highlight the challenges individuals often face after a concussion, including headaches, sleep difficulties, and mental health symptoms, and Sydney Low will share her personal experience. This is a free event, and we hope to reach a wide concussion community including people with lived experience, health care providers, researchers, and concussion advocates.
